School Improvement Plan

2024-25

Goal 1

Waller Mill Elementary School will improve outcomes in reading for students with disabilities, English Learners, and economically disadvantaged students in FY25 by -  

  • decreasing the number students with disabilities, English Learners, and economically disadvantaged students identified as “high risk” to “moderate/low risk” on the VALLSS assessment by 5% in kindergarten through grade 2. 
  • increasing the raw pass rate for students with disabilities (FY24: 70%), English Learners (FY24: 67%), and economically disadvantaged students (FY24: 69%) on the grade 3 through 5 Reading SOL Test by 5%. 

Goal 2

Waller Mill Elementary School will improve outcomes in mathematics for students with disabilities and economically disadvantaged students in FY25 by increasing the raw pass rate for students with disabilities (FY24: 66%) and economically disadvantaged students (FY24: 75%) on the grade 3 through 5 Mathematics SOL Test by 5%. 

Goal 3

Waller Mill Elementary School will improve outcomes in science for students with disabilities and economically disadvantaged students in FY25 by increasing the raw pass rate for students with disabilities (FY24: 62%) and economically disadvantaged students (FY24: 56%) on the grade 5 Science SOL Test by 5%. 

Goal 4

By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, all grade-level and department PLCs at Waller Mill Elementary School will utilize a meeting template, pre-enter student data for the current assessment(s), tier students by level of need, plan interventions, and document action steps that are easily understandable by the administrative team, special educators, the EL teacher, and para-educators. 

Goal 5

By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, Waller Mill Elementary School will reduce the risk ratios for an office discipline referral for students with disabilities and males by 1.5.
